Dr Matthew Govorko is a project coordinator at Cancer Council WA where he is responsible for delivering Cancer Council’s national occupational and environmental cancer prevention project, KNOW Workplace Cancer.
In 2019, Dr Govorko completed his PhD at Curtin University’s School of Public Health researching asbestos exposure in the residential environment. His doctoral studies involved the development, validation, and implementation of the mobile phone app, ACM Check, which can be used as a screening tool to help identify potential asbestos-containing materials in and around Australian residential settings.
