Mr. Fitzgerald has 30 years of experience managing growing businesses and laboratories across the country. Mr. Fitzgerald has been on environmental assignments in Arizona, Texas, Montana, Tennessee, Ohio, Kansas, Pennsylvania, and most of the Southeastern US. He has developed and managed analytical testing facilities in Atlanta, Seattle, Alaska, Hawaii, New York, New Jersey, Oregon, and throughout California. Mr. Fitzgerald has previously served as remediation site inspector, legal expert analyst, regional manager, and director of analytical services.
Sean has been invited guest speaker at asbestos and environmental lead workshops and conferences as well as local, state, and federal regulatory meetings and reviews, and advises private and governmental entities on issues of asbestos and lead regulation, science, and process development.
Recently, Mr. Fitzgerald has been retained and has given testimony as an asbestos expert and researcher in soils, NOA, and in household products, with his work appearing before the EIA (National Asbestos Council), ASTM, National Press Club, English Parliament, and the US Senate.
Sean has been particularly helpful to the Dutch Expertise Center for Asbestos & Fibres foundation (ECAV) regarding microscopy research and legal work in relation to asbestos in talc-based make-up, fighting the good fight. He’s also involved with a NEN commission on behalf of ECAV to regularise the specific microscopy technique which he developed himself, which can conclusively show the difference between asbestos and talc.
