Dr Belinda Brown is Director of Research at ASEA. She has over 15 years of experience in research and public sector management. She has worked on asbestos and legacy chemicals management for a number of years, including as a manager of the Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions. She has also worked internationally as a visiting researcher, from Antarctica to Italy. She has represented Australia at over ten UN meetings, and contributed her technical expertise across a range of areas such as the COAG National Science Working Group for Climate Change Adaptation, the COAG Solar Thermal Technology Roadmap Committee, the Australian Government Linked Data Working Group and the National ABS Working Group for Genetic Resources.
Belinda’s work promotes science, data, and technology solutions for sustainable outcomes. She is manager of the ASEA asbestos technology challenge – including the latest round of the Business Research and Innovation Initiative (BRII). Her work on asbestos legacy, waste, illegal dumping and new technologies for asbestos management will be shared at this 2022 conference.
